Hi world !

My name is Manh-Louis NGUYEN. My friends call me "Manh" (pronounce as "man") and my internet nickname is Manhsterz. My parents are from Vietnam and I was born in France.

I am an attending physician in neurology (chef de clinique assistant en neurologie) in Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris , and a PhD in tissue bioengineering ; but also a musician, composer and a gamer.

I love video games and music since childhood. The most impactful game I that got me into this world was Final Fantasy VII at the age of 7 years old. Music from this game also got me to know its composer, Nobuo Uemastsu. Thanks to him, I began to enjoy composing music and listening to symphonic music.

I started guitar at the age of 12 years old and took 1 month class in Vietnam. It appears to be few hours, but actually it was during 30 days straight, every day from 8 am to 12 am. I learnt music theory as well as my instrument. I played in small ensemble with other guitars. That was pretty intense ! I started composing on Guitar Pro 4 (at that time) mainly punk rock music, metal rock and video games music.

I continued playing guitar as a self-taught person. During junior and senior high-school, I played in the school rock band with friends and performed many times at concerts mainly as a lead guitarist.

That was the time I also learnt a little bit about drums, bass and piano. I continued to write music and also had the opportunity to perform one of my composition at a school concert, called "Yes You are Right" or "Anh đã Đúng" in vietnamese.

Life went on, with medical school in 2008.

Left : October 2022 within the internal medicine and clinical immunology department at Pitié-Salpêtrirèe Hospital, with colleagues (now friends !). Right : March 2022, PhD defense in tissue bioengineering.

This is another story but then pausing medical school for a Master's degree in physics (specialized in microfluidics) and a PhD in tissue bioengineering that ended in March 2022. Went back to medical residency to finally end up in neuromuscular diseases department in Paris (Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital) where I will probably work for a while.

At some point I decided to start a youtube channel back in early september 2020.

I thought that I should not give up on my passions and music is one of them. So I decided to start composing again, to start piano and recently, to start cello.

Today I started a blog because I wanted to mix all of my passions and interests to see what could come out of it ! Let's travel this journey together, if you will !
